Sapna Batish

Sapna Batish is the museum’s manager of exhibitions and programs. Prior to joining the museum staff, Sapna was a visiting scientist with the United Nations Environment Program, where she assessed the utility of satellites in chronicling the destruction of south Asia’s mangrove ecosystems and analyzed the potential impacts of biofuel use on global land cover. Sapna began her career at NOAA’s National Ocean Service, where she was the Principal Investigator in an examination of the impacts of land use change on coral reef ecosystems of the Caribbean. Sapna received her Masters in international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and her Ph.D. in environmental science from the Ohio State University.
